Introduction

Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi has taken a leadership to spread this India’s cultural and spiritual heritage worldwide with credible system which shall provide India leadership to ensure the quality in teaching and training in Yoga.

Today Yoga has not remained restricted to the hermitages. People across the globe practice Yoga in one form or the other. The need of the hour is to impart quality teaching and training to the public which is one of the main objectives of WAYS (World Association of Yogic Science).

World Association of Yogic Science responding to the call of the Hon’ble Prime Minister and accepting the responsibility of making the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister into a reality.

Accordingly WAYS has taken an initiation to make PrCB approved under the Scheme for Voluntary Certification of Yoga Professionals owned by QCI launched by Ministry of AYUSH. WAYS is an independent entity giving functional autonomy to it. The focus of the Scheme for Voluntary Certification of Yoga Professionals, as it is being called, is to certify the competence of Yoga Professionals who provide Yoga training as Teachers or Instructors etc. and also to shortly certify the different categories of Yoga institutions as per the QCI scheme.

Initially the examinations will be conducted in Hindi and English and subsequently more Indian and foreign languages will be added.
